RevuIQ passed 100,000 downloads on Google Play

The Google Play listing for RevuIQ now shows 100K+ downloads. That is Google’s own bracket, not our press release math, and it happened roughly sixteen months after version 1.0 first shipped on the App Store in March 2025.

For an indie app from a small studio in Boise, with no ad budget behind it, we’ll take that.

What we think actually drove it

The analysis is free. From day one the AI verdict, the follow-up chat, and the two-place comparison cost nothing extra. A lookup is only spent when you search a new place, and a head-to-head comparison counts as one lookup, not two. People try it on a real decision, it earns its keep, and they come back.

Comparison is the killer feature. Reading one place’s reviews is useful. Putting two hotels side by side and getting a verdict on which one wins, and why, is the moment people tell someone else about the app.

Answers over ratings. A 4.2 average tells you almost nothing. “Multiple recent reviews mention slow service on weekends” tells you whether to book.

The honest part

The Play rating currently sits at 3.7 across about 155 ratings. Some of that criticism has been fair, and it is why version 2.2 shipped last week. We read every review, which feels appropriate for an app whose whole job is reading reviews.

What’s next

RevuIQ keeps getting sharper, and the second product under the Overarch umbrella, HealthAPI, has its API live in production with the iOS app in App Store review. More on that when Apple says yes.
